Top 25 criticism. (letters to the editor). This morning we received our copy of DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION. Iimmediately turned to the cover story ("The Top 25 EducationTechnology Advocates," December December:see month. 2001, p. 33) and found myselfutterly astonished a��ston��ish?tr.v. as��ton��ished, as��ton��ish��ing, as��ton��ish��esTo fill with sudden wonder or amazement. See Synonyms at surprise. by your choices for the list, which failed to includeJamie Jamie is a given name, derived as a pet form of James. However, it has been used as an independent given name in English speaking countries for several generations. Though Jamie was originally exclusively male, since the 1950s it has also been used as a female given name, McKenzie.To me, there is a difference between detailing the efforts ofpeople who are excellent examples and choosing the "top"advocates: those who have made sustained, innovative efforts nationwidewithout ever losing sight of the concept that technological tools areonly components in the effort to achieve educational excellence; thosewho never forget that children are the most important part of theeducational process.Ava M.
