Third IMC World Forum on Music set for Tunis. The International Music Council's 3rd IMC World Forum on Musicwill take place in Tunis, October 17-22, 2009, under the title"Access to musical diversity." The forum is organized incollaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation ofthe Tunisian Republic. The IMC World Forum on Music is a global knowledge-buildingplatform on music and society in the 21st century, which explores avariety of topics from diverse perspectives--cultural, political andeconomical. It is considered one of IMC's main contributions tosetting the stage for the free celebration of music in the world. The 2009 World Forum on Music will focus on five areas, which IMCconsiders being of crucial importance to the world of music--culturaldiversity, music as a vector for dialogue, creativity and innovation inmusic distribution, new approaches to music education and changingaudiences.
